SYNOPSIS- In 1875, a slow-witted man meets the Devil in the woods and tries to bargain for his life.
Starring- Christopher Tenney, Arianna Wadkins, Aleksander D'Avignon, and Keenen S. Crook. Written, Produced, and Directed by Katherine Sainte-Marie.
The film is currently being submitted to film festivals.

UPCOMING EVENTS…
-We will be paying in Borrego Springs, another San Diego based festival from January 14, 2023 for their 10 year anniversary festival.
PAST EVENTS…
-We played in our home town of San Diego on November 18th at San Diego Film Week where the film won Best Horror Film. The venue was the Museum of Photographic Arts (M.O.P.A.) in Balboa Park.
-Our third international festival was recently announced: Dark Scream in India. We played on October 30-31st in Punjab, India. The film won two awards for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.
-The Devil in Bitter Woods was invited to its second international film festival, Terror in the Bay Film Festival in Thunderbay, Ontario, Canada. We screened on Oct 19-Oct 22. The film was nominated for 3 awards: Best Short Film, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Original Screenplay and won for Best Supporting Actor.
-We were an Official Selection of the Spooky Empire Festival in Orlando Florida. Our costume designers won a Wicked Wardrobe Award there. The festival and convention ran from October 21-23rd with hundreds of vendors, panelists, celebrity guests, tattoo artists, and a Zombie Walk to kick off the weekend.
-The Devil in Bitter Woods screened in Colorado! We screened at Dickens Horror Festival on October 8th, 2022 for the seventh annual contemporary and classic horror film festival.
-We were an Official Selection of Louisville's International Festival of Film in Kentucky. The festival started on October 6th and continued with a virtual event, after the live event!
-The Devil in Bitter Woods was an Official Selection of HorrOrigins Film Festival in Tucson, Arizona from Sept. 30-Oct. 3rd at the Galaxy Theaters.
-We were an Official Selection of the Shawna Shea Film Festival in Massachusetts. The festival took place on Sept. 21-24th.
-Chicago Horror screened The Devil in Bitter Woods at Cinema Chatham in Chicago from Sept 22-25th.
-We were an Official selection of the Catalina Film Festival. The festival took place September 30-October 9th, with a virtual event following. We were also nominated for a Wes Craven Award in the category of horror.
- We screened at Carnival of Darkness: The Haunted Pamlico Film Festival in North Carolina and won Top Effects for the film on Sept. 24 at the Turnage Theater in Washington, North Carolina.
-The Devil in Bitter Woods was an Official Selection of Horror HoundFilm Festival where the film won an honorable mention. We were nominated for 6 awards, including Best Short Film. This event took place September 9-11 in Sharonville, Ohio.
-We garnered our first international selection playing at Spook Screen in Cork City, Ireland on Sept 8-11th.
-As an Official Selection of Oregon Screams, Bitter Woods was also nominated for best Dark Drama film. This event took place on Sunday August 21, 2022 at The Clinton Street Theater in Portland, Oregon.
-The Devil in Bitter Woods has won four Silver Telly Awards at the 43rd annual Telly Awards. We won Tellys for Non-Broadcast Dramatic Production, Non-Broadcast Craft- Directing, Non-Broadcast Craft- Writing, and Non-Broadcast Craft- Sound/Sound Design.
-We won a Platinum Remi Award in the fantasy and horror category at the 55th annual Worldfest Houston International Film Festival, 2022.
-The Devil in Bitter Woods was a Finalist in the Etheria Film Festival. Etheria is an annual showcase of horror, sci-fi, fantasy, action, and thriller films directed by women.
